Is there an official Tibber app for Galaxy Watch?
No. The official Tibber app is for Android phones and iPhones only. There is currently no official Tibber app for Wear OS, Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch, or any other smartwatch platform. Tibber has not announced a release date for a first-party smartwatch app.
That is why Current Spot exists. It is a community-built, unofficial watch app for Tibber customers on Wear OS that talks directly to the official Tibber GraphQL API with your own personal access token.

Step-by-step: get Tibber on your Galaxy Watch in 5 minutes

1. Install Current Spot
Install Current Spot from Google Play on both your Android phone and your Galaxy Watch (or Pixel Watch). Both apps share one Play Store listing — the watch app usually installs automatically if both devices are connected.

2. Generate a Tibber access token
Open developer.tibber.com in a browser and log in with your Tibber account. Click New access token, select the scopes home (for spot prices) and real-time (for Tibber Pulse live power), and copy the token.

3. Paste the token in the phone app
Open Current Spot on your phone, paste the Tibber token, pick the home you want to monitor, and you should see validation succeed within a second. Your token is stored locally on the phone and synchronised to the watch over the Wear OS data layer.

4. Open the watch app and add a complication
Open Current Spot on your Galaxy Watch. It will pick up the configuration from your phone automatically. Long-press your watch face → Edit complications → pick Current Spot / Tibber price to see the current spot price right on your watch face. You can also pin the tile for a one-swipe price overview.

- Smart connectivity — Bluetooth relay through the phone when paired, automatic fallback to WiFi / LTE when the phone is out of range
What about iPhone / Apple Watch?
Current Spot is built for the Wear OS / Android ecosystem. If you also have an iPhone and Apple Watch, a native iOS / watchOS version of Current Spot is on the roadmap. For now, iPhone users can find separate third-party Tibber companions in the App Store.

Current Spot is free. All core features are included at no cost — optional donations unlock a few Premium complications. We do not run analytics, tracking or advertising. Does Tibber have a watch app?
Not officially. Tibber AS only ships an Android and iOS phone app. For a Wear OS watch, Current Spot is the community alternative.
Is this an official Tibber product?
No. Current Spot is an independent, community-built app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected with Tibber AS. All we do is connect to Tibber's official public API using the token you generate yourself at developer.tibber.com.
Do I need a Tibber subscription?
Yes — you need an active Tibber electricity contract. Current Spot only displays data that Tibber already provides about your account; it does not provide electricity itself.
Does it drain the watch battery?
No meaningful impact. Spot prices update every 15 min or hourly — a few KB per fetch. Live power uses a low-power Bluetooth relay through the phone when paired, which costs significantly less battery than the watch polling LTE/WiFi constantly.
Which languages are supported?
Current Spot is available in English, German, Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian. The watch UI follows your watch's system language.
